Description: Following the old tradition of the Germany Special catalogues – a tradition of over 90 years – the newly published Volume 1 of 2026 features a wealth of philatelic focal points.
For instance, the Bavarian stamp booklets were completely revised and numerous new plate flaws, conditions of preservation and photos of se-tenant prints were added.
The section featuring the early inflation period has been significantly expanded to include newly discovered plate flaws and photos of previously listed differences in print and main numbers.
Furthermore, we have extensively revised the telegraph stamps of the German Reich, occupied Estonia and the Channel Islands and added details regarding Red Cross forms, proofs and “Ministerdrucke” (personalized stamps for high officials).
We have also recorded a large number of plate flaws on issues from the Saar region as well as German overseas post offices and colonies for the first time.
The most striking price fluctuations were found in the collection areas of Old Germany, the early years of the German Reich, the Saar region, the Sudetenland and the occupied territories during World War II. Therefore, this special Volume 1 is also a treasure trove for any philatelist who calculates sharply.
