SAFE-tabs are the mount of choice for philatelists who demand a secure, archival-quality hold without compromising their stamps. Manufactured by Hawid exclusively for SAFE, these black-base mount strips are made from 100% inert polystyrene with absolutely no softening agents — guaranteed never to shrink, yellow, or discolor with age.
Using SAFE-tabs is simple: lift one flap on the back and gently slide your stamp in face-down, then lift the other flap and lay the stamp inside. Once both flaps are closed, lightly moisten the adhesive on the top half of the back and press firmly onto your pH-neutral album page. To determine the correct mount size, measure your stamp's width and height in millimeters, add 5mm to each measurement, and that's your size. Each 200mm strip can then be cut to your exact custom length using a mount cutter and used either horizontally or vertically.
What sets SAFE-tabs apart is their unique spring-tension clamping effect — once your stamp is in place, it simply won't slide. Available in heights ranging from 21mm to 93mm, with package quantities varying by size. Each package is resealable to keep unused strips fresh and protected.
