How to Store & Display a Postcard Collection

The best way to store a postcard collection is in archival-quality, PVC-free albums with crystal-clear pages sized to match your postcard format — either vintage (3-1/2" x 5-1/2") or continental/European (4" x 6"). Using the wrong size album or non-archival materials can cause bending, fading, and long-term acid damage to antique and vintage postcards. SAFE offers dedicated storage solutions for both formats, built to protect everything from Victorian-era holiday cards to modern continental travel postcards.

  • Vintage Postcard Albums — Sized precisely for postcards 3-1/2" x 5-1/2" or smaller, with transparent pages displaying 1, 2, 4, or 6 cards per page so you can view both sides without removal. Available in multiple ring-binder systems and cover styles.
  • Continental & European Postcard Albums — Sized precisely for 4" x 6" modern and continental postcards, with double-sided transparent pages and expandable ring-binder formats to grow with your collection.
  • Postcard Sleeves & Carrying Cases — Polyester archival sleeves for individual postcard protection, plus aluminum and wood carrying cases for coffee table display, storage or transport.

When collectors ask "what is the best album for vintage postcards?" or "how do I store continental postcards without damaging them?", SAFE has been the answer for postcard collectors and deltiologists since 1953.
