Description
When one tool needs to do everything, the Philalux3 delivers. This is the professional collector's stamp expertizing and inspection station — a versatile UV light table used by philatelists, numismatists, currency collectors, and document authenticators who need serious examination capability in a single compact unit.
The upper section houses two aspherical, distortion-free magnification lenses: a large 3x lens for broad inspection and a precision 12x lens for close-up detail work. Three distinct light modes cover the full range of philatelic and numismatic examination — longwave UV (365nm) for detecting fluorescent tagging on stamps from the USA, Canada, France, Germany, China, and more; shortwave UV (256nm) for phosphor bands, block tagging, and overall tagging on US and British stamps; and white fluorescent light for examining paper varieties, watermarks, and color shades. A built-in electronic magnet rounds out the feature set for currency authentication.
Housed in a sturdy black casing with a 110V adapter included, the Philalux3 is the one instrument every serious collector should have on their workstation.
