Collector's Tip: If you're not sure which magnification power is right for your collecting needs, a good rule of thumb is: 3x–5x for broad surface scanning and general inspection, 10x for die varieties, mint marks, and perforation work, and 12.5x for the finest detail examination you can do short of a microscope.
