Every Nova tray is universal — the same tray that stores your coins in a stackable drawer at home can move into a carrying case for travel and a presentation case for display, without ever repacking your coins into a different holder. One tray, three ways to use it.

Most coin storage forces a choice: keep your collection in a drawer at home, or rehouse it into a different case every time you want to travel with it or display it at a show. Nova was built to remove that tradeoff entirely. Trays hold coins ranging from small individual pieces to full proof sets, along with 2x2 flips and graded slabs — and wherever that tray lives, it fits.

Pull a tray out of a drawer, and it drops straight into a carrying case for the trip to a show. Pull it out of the carrying case, and it fits directly into a presentation case for display. No rehousing, no rebuying trays for each format.

Good to know

The Nova Deluxe XL carrying case uses leather tray holders that cradle the tray during transport — the holder itself is specific to Deluxe XL, but the tray inside it is still the same universal Nova tray, so it's not a break in the system, just an added layer of protection for travel.

For the Nova Acrylic drawer specifically, we recommend the Coin Card tray over the Slab or Pin tray — not a compatibility issue, just a fit-and-ease-of-use note, since those trays can occasionally stick in the acrylic drawer.

Frequently Asked Questions

No — every Nova tray works across drawers, carrying cases, and presentation cases. Buy the tray for what you're storing (coins, slabs, 2x2s), not for which container it'll sit in.

Nova trays accommodate items from small individual coins up to full proof sets, along with graded slabs and 2x2 holders.

No — it uses the same universal tray. The Deluxe XL carrying case adds leather tray holders around it for extra protection during travel, but the tray itself is standard.

Yes, but we recommend the Coin Card tray for the smoothest fit — the Slab and Pin trays can occasionally stick in the acrylic drawer.

No — drawers only stack within their own edition (Acrylic stacks with Acrylic, Exquisite/Wood stacks with Exquisite/Wood). It's the trays that are universal across the whole Nova system, not the drawer housings themselves — so you can mix and move trays freely, but keep your stacked drawers to a single edition.
