Description
The Mobilux LED is Eschenbach's best-known illuminated handheld magnifier. The 10x model is the most powerful Mobilux that SAFE offers, made for close work such as die varieties, engraving lines, tiny overprints, and mint marks. The lens is held close to the item, trading a smaller field of view for maximum detail.
The 35mm aspheric lens is shaped to reduce distortion at the edges, so the image stays flat and sharp across the whole field. It is made of PXM optical plastic with Eschenbach's Cera-Tec hard coating, lighter than glass and protected against everyday scratches.
Built-in SMD LEDs give a clean, white light that shows true detail on stamps, coins, and banknotes, even at a dim show table. The LEDs are rated for up to 50,000 hours, and batteries last about five times longer than with incandescent bulbs.
The ergonomic handle has a large on/off switch you can find without looking. A spring-loaded compartment makes changing the two AA batteries simple, and the batteries are included.
