Find your perfect Storage/Display Solution

Archival Materials Only (Mylar, Melinex, Polyester, PET, Polystyrene)

Our Sole Purpose is to provide the highest quality items to protect and display your collection

We guarantee that all material that comes in contact with your collection is archival quality, pH-neutral, 100% free of plasticizers (chemical softening agents), chemically inert and free of stearates. The specially formulated materials that are used by SAFE in manufacturing is scientifically tested to insure it does not contain any harmful plasticized PVC such as:

  • Polyester or PET (DuPont Mylar D, DuPont Melinex 516, SKC type SH72S or equivalent archival-grade polyester films approved by the Library of Congress)
  • Polypropylene
  • Polystyrene
  • pH-neutral Cardboard

People use the word Mylar a lot when describing archival.  In reality, Dupont stopped making Mylar quite a long time ago and replaced it with Melinex.  Whether its for Mylar Sleeves, Mylar Holders or Melinex, these materials are all formulated under a chemical basis of PET (Polyethelene Terephthalate) – which has been tested by independent research facilities and the Library of Congress to be safe for long term storage.

Simply, rest easy knowing that when your collection is placed in a SAFE branded item, you know that it will not be damaged by the material it comes in contact with.  Period.
