Sturdy black housing has a 5-1/4" x 2-1/2" aspherical lens with
3X magnification and
a 7/8" diameter aspherical lens with 12X magnification. Distortion free.
Upper and lower housing can be separated by means of a special magnetic
lock.
The upper housing holds one 4 Watt ultraviolet longwave tube (366nm) for
identifying fluorescent paper and
one 4 Watt shortwave tube (256nm) for checking phosphor and overall
tagging.
The
lower housing holds one 4 Watt white fluorescent tube.
The size of the working area is 5" x 2-3/4".
Each tube can be switched on
individually.
The unit comes with an additional clear plate and with one perforation gauge which can be
inserted in the working area. The perforation gauge shows perforations from 10 to 16-1/2 in
1/4 increments. You can even remove the top section of the housing (as shown in picture),
to examine art work, collections in an album or other items in protective sleeves.
